About Garage Count
Garage Count lists car services by the jobs their own websites name, ordered by the number of Google reviews: brake repairs, roadworthy inspections, paint correction, wheel alignment. Many reviews show a business is busy and well known, not that it is right for your job.
A business is listed under a job only when its own website names that service, and under a place only when Google Maps shows it there. Lists are refreshed on the first of each month.
Garage Count ranks Australian mechanics, detailers, panel beaters and tyre shops for each job they list by how many Google reviews they have, among those rated 4.0 or better.
Garage Count is run by the Garage Count team and has been publishing since October 2026. It lists 8,160 businesses in 2,199 lists, with figures as of October 2026.
Ratings, review counts and opening hours come from Google Business Profiles. The year a business started, and the jobs it does, come from its own website.
